The perfect summer dress | Shopping sustainable

8 August 2020

Possibly my favourite dress I've ever owned and it arrived yesterday. A sentence that sums me up perfectly.
I've been a huge fan of Nobody's Child for a while and have loved everything I have ordered from them before. I saw this dress on their website earlier this week and all their new in dresses had 20% off for 48 hours so you can imagine the next part to the story.

Nobody's child are a sustainable fashion brand but always have the latest styles and trends. Their clothes are sourced and made in a way that benefits people and creates a positive impact on the environment. They produce small collections to reduce textile waste and upcycle prints to make new shapes. For example, I also ordered a pair of pyjamas and it came with a free scrunchie made from excess fabric. Such a good idea!
Personally, I'm really trying to make a conscious effort to shop more carefully and Nobody's child is a great place to start if you're making an effort to do the same.

I went on the train to a town near me yesterday with my friend Holly and it was so nice to be in a different surrounding for the afternoon. (Everything was really safe and we wore a mask for the majority of the time.) As I was wearing this dress, we had a little photo shoot down a small street so I thought I would share the rest of the photos on here!

The dress I'm wearing is the 'Yellow and White Daisy Mary Frill Mini Dress' and as I've already mentioned, it is the most summery dress ever! Yellow is such a happy colour anyway but it makes me even more happy when I am actually wearing it. It is a really loose fabric so I didn't get too sweaty whilst walking around in the heat (nothing worse). I love the pretty, dainty daisy pattern and the frill detail adds an extra touch. I know that I will keep this for years and it will keep in a great condition. A perfect summer dress is such a wardrobe staple for me.

What is your Summer style staple?
